Can I use a 2.2L transmission or do I need to use the 2.5L version. Does it matter. I'm looking at a 2002-2003 suberu legacy L and Brighton model transmission.. Is this a good one for the swap? Do I just have to get a diff that matches that model of car and swap the ring and pinion gear or the entire diff. I have the 1996 svx LSI model. What about the lsd rear... I don't know if my car is lsd or not. If so do I have to worry about loosing that. Or just get a diff from a wrx with lsd? Here are a couple of links to the transmissions that I am interested in.
