Ok, I had to hack a little more off than I thought. I could have gotten away with using the original holes, but I decided to take off a little extra material and drill new holes, just to be sure. Even before I brought them back and cut more, though, I had nearly no gap at the top booster bolts. I really could have called it a day there, but I'm a bit OCD like that.
Where I cut the first time around I had a tiny bit of weld left at the brake switch bracket, bet my new cut left me with no welds to tie that bracket to the top plate. Now my new objective is to get that welded back before next weekend. Next Sunday I should have pics of the pedals bolted to the booster, and how it clears at the top(that is if I have the wiring all squared away by then).
