Well, I know I've accidentally put WRX filters on my SVX and SVX filters on my WRX. In fact, back before they switched to the smaller STi sized filters on the WRX, you really couldn't tell the difference between the WRX and SVX filters unless you had one in each hand and the part numbers in front of you.

Does that back it up?
