First Post!
Hi everyone. This is my first post anywhere so be gentle with me! I have a 1993 JDM SVX in black which appears on some of the old pix with it's previous owner. This site has been a wonderful source of info for me and long may it continue. My car was bought with many defects from a Subaru dealer, including mention of a reluctance to engage 4th gear. When I collected it this had progressed to having 1st and 2nd only - long drive home 90 miles in 2nd..... I have a pal who lives in Japan who kindly bought a '96 and stripped it, sending the parts in a container. Another pal (quickly running out of them now by the way) swopped over the engine/box, front and rear suspension, brakes, rack, steering pump etc. I now have a fully functioning car and loads of spares! I have to say guys this is truly a car for the dedicated enthusiast/fruitloop/masochist. It is more complex than Chinese writing to me.
The wife hates it, as usual for one of my cars, mainly due to the 70's style porn film interior design. Disturbingly, the performance mirrors our A4 3.0 quattro everyday car but the challenge it presents bears no comparison! SVX owners must be a breed apart and I am proud to be one.
