Throttle Body Modification

I do not know if this has been done before on this forum, but what I did is bypass the cooling lines that run to the throttle body. I got the idea from a guy I work with, who did this on his camaro (sad ride). He has had no negative results and only positive results especially compared to when the engine is hot. There is no valve that adusts or shuts off the flow of coolant flowing through the throttle body, so when the engine is hot, your heating up the already hot air entering the engine therefore reducing horsepower. You all get the drift.
To do this mod. I removed the plastic intake tube, removed the rubber hoses going to the throttle body, and then used 3/8 hose and ran it from where both hoses originally connected at the block and clamped each side securely. Upon trial, I noticed after repeated redline runs that there is less hesitation on the low end. I am sure the air entering the engine is a lot cooler now with the absence of 170 degree coolant flowing around it. Let me know what you think, Greg
