I just came home from the shore and travelled on route 18, which is pretty dark at night. I was going around a bend only to find a giant piece of bent sheet metal lingering in my lane. I couldn't swear to avoid it by the time I saw it, so I ran it over.

It completely cracked one of my front splitters and scratched up my bumper pretty bad. Luckily nothing else is damaged underneath the car. It sucks that I have to replace the splitter (hopefully I can buy just one to replace it) and I also got a parking ticket from a meter (which I thought wouldnt be required after labor day).

Talk about a crappy night.
