The command to read from the TCU is 45 instead of 78. The address for the trans temp is 0017 and I think the value is in F, with no conversion needed.

If you enter 45001700 in the hex com tool then look at the data that comes back 0017xx. Convert the xx from hex to decimal. Verify that it matches the value from the select monitor at cold, warm, and hot. If not we need to work out the conversion factor.

If you flick back to page 45 in the thread you can see a screenshot of a program I wrote to read info from the TCU. The newest version includes the trans temp and some other stuff.

Is it possible to send command 45 instead of 78 with Evoscan? That would be cool.
