I hope you have the receipts for the transmission work you had done as well. Luckily the low mileage cars are still worth a good amount so that should help you leverage the fact that she damaged a car thats difficult to replace.

I just looked on Autotrader and I just saw a 96 with 132k miles going for 6500. In my area they're difficult to find, as the lowest mileage one I found was 98,000 and they're still asking 3500.
