I did struts and mounts my and marisa's svx's. other than that I have done maybe 100+ cars. My svx was easy, but hers was harder for some reason. to errr on the safe side here is what had to be done on her car.

Quick and easy way that will need an alignment afterwards is as follows:

jack up car
remove wheels
remove top hat covvers (platic things)
remove the 3 strut mount nuts (on each side)
remove the bolts for the brake lines and abs unit (3 on each side)
don't un do the brake hoses from the caliper though
remove the 2 large bolts on the spindle/strut interface (on each side)
remove the strut/spring assembly (on each side)
use spring compressors to compress the coil spring (on each side)
then undo the 1 nut on the strut shaft (on each side)
your strut mount is now free to replace

do the reverse to get back together
I am not good at being descriptive so hope this helps a bit.
