In brief, poor weather forced the double day of racing to be rushed into a single day. Cold wet weather with the possibility of even snow caused many changed. Quarter mile racing was reduced to eighth mile, and only a single time trial was allowed.
Event #1 was tossed away with a -.001 red light launch. Rather bummed me out. All red lights today got a small stuffed animal as a promotion from a local chain of fuel/convenience stores. I pondered shelfing it with my plaques and trophies, or letting the two demon Italian Greyhounds rip the stuffing out of it. Oh well, 5 months out of practice, I suppose it was bound to happen.
Event #2 was closed with a second place win. I am fairly convinced that the lack of time between rounds in the quarters, semi's, and final caused the cooling fans to kick on during my run. I have seen this before and just was not prepared to deal with it today at the rate things was happening. A plan is in place to make sure this does not happen again sometime in the next few weeks.
I wont know my overall position in points until Monday or Tuesday. I will post it on my race tracking site
http://www.teamsvxracing.com once I know.
