You know, when we had it on the lift I thought the rear wheels felt a little harder to turn than the front. Was hoping it was my imagination, I would rather pull the trans than the rear diff

Really, it bothered me enough I was gonna do it anyway when I pulled the trans. Could a bearing have gone bad?
