I was wondering what Id have to do to use a motor from a different year or is an EJ22 swap possible? I just want a less expensive alternative. I don't mind swapping some exhaust parts... Anyone know?

(I did post on Legacy Central as well, but I just signed up, and wanted to see if anyone on here would know...)

I
i do alot of engine swaps on subys.
i just did an engine swap on my g/f's SUS 99. u can use any ej25 engine as long as you check the bolt pattern on the intake manifold. u gotta swap the whole manifold(wires n all) from the old engine to the new engine. this will solve alot of electrical problems.

also if ur car has an egr valve. u gotta drill a whole into the block of the jap engine (they don't come with egr valves)

hope that helps
