Piano wire, 2 dowel rods or a kit from ebay or the like, a good friend with a day to waste a drill and large needle to get yourself started, lots of patience and proper removal of everything around the windshield prior to starting. It sucks but is possible, might want to see if a local windshield shop is willing to yank it for ya knowing the gasket needs to be saved. Bad thing is they won't guarentee they won't break it and most insist on prepayment. Its definately a crap shoot!
