This flexplate will hopefully last a while...replaced all four flexplate bolts with shouldered high strength pieces and went with long 10mm alignment dowels that actually stick back through the bellhousing a good 1/4 to 3/8 inch (so you can easily see that they're still in!
). Young Tom said he's going to get me two of the extra lower studs he's got lying around, so I'll be able to glue them in and bolt the bottom up as tight as it should be (using a bolt and a double nutted stud right now, both of which are probably 1/2 to 2/3 as tight as the spec calls for
). It will be interesting to see how my times stack up against Chike's tomorrow

p.s. any chance you two might be up for some 1/4 mile gatherings in what's left of the season? Old Tom is supposed to get his new s/c in ~ week and it would be very cool to have the RaceCar, Battlestar, and both Tom's s/c cars at the track (Mason Dixon?). Might even let Chike show up -- if he asks nice
