I remember mentioning way back in this thread a long time ago, that possibly this high top speed was being aided by cold air for the intake, as Sonny's top speed run is also from a "cool" country.

The water temp gauge in that picture is showing the needle a good bit below horizontal. Both my SVXs park the needle dead horizontal, and it never moves.

I'm aware that the water temp is not necessarily an indicator of outside air temps, but still, it's interesting to ponder.
