Check the most recent issue (April)....they check out "old school" 300ZX TT, Turbo Supra, 3000GT, Galant V4, EVO III, and NSX vs "new school" STi and EVO MR. The 3000GT weighed in at 3875 pounds!! Of course, it's inline 6 has been bored out to 3.1 liters with 8:1 CR running a TD05/06 turbocharger (and Denso 720cc/min injectors). Running 18 lbs of boost, it put down 581 wheel Hp @ 5800 rpm   Kinda makes you wonder why we can't get the same kind of numbers out of our 3.3 liter.
