OK, I got my lights installed. I put 4 9011s in all of the sockets. They are the high beams and I put them in both the low sockets and high sockets. I used a dremel tool to alter the tabs inside and the top tab.
The results:
I don't have a light meter, so have to go by eye and what they normally look like. On the low beam setting with the high beam bulbs, it is brighter. I could notice some difference, but not as much as I thought. I will try to put two cars together and compart that way next.
On high beam, that is where they really shine. Pardon the pun. I really noticed the difference. When you flick on the brights, the road really lights up. The big difference is in the distance. You see signs light up that would not show up before.
So, this is what my thought is so far without comparing two cars side by side which I will try to do this weekend. The bulbs may be around $25. each for either the 9011 (high beam) or the 9012 (low beam). I would at least get two of the 9011 (high beam) for the high beams lights. If you have another $50, put two more 9011 in the low beams.
I will start a list for people who are interested in them and I will get an idea of how many want bulbs and what number. I can then find out what the price will be for that many. I will try to have these by the maintenance meet if you want them then. We can install them at that time if you want.
If you have questions, let me know.
