Seems like a wannabe Formula car to me.

I think it's a great package, but it's not the engine that makes it a great package. It's the light weight. They could have easily gotten the same power with a 4-banger or 6-cylinder.

Screw the displacement. I want to know the dimensions and weight of the engine. What good is a 2.4L V8 if it takes up as much room and weighs just as much as a bigger displacement engine?

And what kind of rubber will they be using to put all that power down in such a light car? It better be frickin wide. Like Pirelli's slogan, "Power is nothing without control." On the flip side, while the American turbo V8s can be built to 1600 hp (quite doable if you have the resources of Garrett behind you. ), what's the use, if you can't grab for traction?

I don't buy into that BS about "the high-tech import V8 whine" or "that good ol' American V8 growl". Sound is nice, but in the end, I'll take a bumble-fartcan sounding engine if it makes massive power in a small, lightweight package.
