I have been noticing that I have to keep filling up my radiator with coolant and my upper radiator hose looks like a drinking straw trying to suck something from one end, while the other end is closed, so the hose collapse onto itself. To get the hose back to orginal shape I open the radiator cap to let the pressure out. Just last year I did a radiator flush and replaced the thermostat along with the upperr and lower hoses. I did not see a leak then. I have not replaced my radiator cap, I think it is orginal, I have read on other postings to replace the cap every couple of years, my SVX is a 1994. Any ideas??? Could it be a leak or the upper hose just weak? I was thinking of buying the WRX STI silicone radiator hoses, with wire reinforcement. I am going to check if the STI has the same diameter as the SVX. But ouch, the STI silicone hose set cost $305.95 per set at 1st subaruparts.com ( Part # ST451624s000 )
