The beauty of a switch to 3.90, 4.11 or 4.44 gears from a USDM Subaru, is the relative ease of the swap. It takes ~10-12 hrs and is a direct plug-n-play with your factory wiring.
The choice is yours. If money wasn't an option, I'd get a similar 4.44 VTD set-up like Huck just did + the valve body upgrade from Level 10.

I'm doing some engine work, and don't race, so don't feel I need play with the final drive ratio. (Likes to cruise at 80 MPH 3K RPM) What improvements / differences can I expect with the VTD?
