with a used car you know any problems the car might have. case in point, the svx tranny. new owners in 92 didnt know their tranny was going to go out in 75k.
some insurences charge less for used cars.
parts are cheeper on the average (key word average) used car.
unless its a sports car your best to buy used if you spend time to think about it. and even if its a sports car you can get a great deal if you have maintence records (i plan on buying a boxter or bmw z3 when i graduate school)
