Leaking radiator cap

Well, I installed my radiator a couple days ago. The install went very easily, it fit perfectly.

After getting it installed, I noticed my PS belt was a bit loose, so I tightened it up a bit. Started the car and my crank pulley seperated in 2, making belts fly everywhere, cracking one of the radiator fans a bit, but other than that no major damage.

Luckily Dayle was able to overnight me a new pulley (thanks Dayle) to get my back running again.

So, yesterday was the first day I had a chance to drive with the new rad. and it looks like my cap is indeed leaking as well.
It does not leak if you turn it the extra 1/8 turn, but the ears of the cap then hit the hood and the hood doesn't close all the way.
Anyone looked at getting a different cap that's slimmer or does not have the ears at all?
