Last night, I got to sit in the Legacy Turbo wagon. They only have two new Legacy's available in the entire US and they have been locked and behind a railing. Last weekend, my friend who is a Service Advisor at a local Subaru dealer was shut down from getting in. Last night, my wife and I were able to spend a good amount of time inside the car!!! Very nicely laid out and well equipped. 250hp/250tq from the 2.5L turbocharged motor. The rep we spoke to mentioned that they believe the block is the STi block. It does use side-feed injectors like the STi. It uses a plastic upper intake manifold and has a plastic shroud over the motor and intercooler which mates to the hood scoop. The literature I picked up notes a "reinforced 5 speed manual transmission". I think this Legacy will sell well for FHI.
