I think the trick is to thread the hole in the tranny and install a stud then drill out the bolt hole in the starter so it will slide over the new stud. I guess you could also use a bolt but either way you will have to thread the hole in the tranny .

BTW: If you seperate the wires in the grommet you only need like 4 or 5 wires out of the whole thing. The rest I just tucked behind the heater box.
