The typical scenario where it's the most obvious and easily heard: I'm driving around 60 and slowly decelerating, e.g. "coasting" as I take a freeway off-ramp. There's a fairly loud, distinctive pulsing drone that can only be described as a "motorboat idling" coming from the *front* of the car.

Uh....too bad Cletus, er...uh...I mean Eddy, isn't here.

Would warped rotors do that? Maybe it's doing it all the time but under accel. you just can't hear it?

does it only do that while rolling, or will it do it if you build up the revs, and then let off? (Belts?)

If only while rolling, is it only while turning? (Power Steering?)
