Y'know, I mentioned this beats per minute research earlier this year while bemoaning the THUMP THUMP THUMP that emanates from the boom boxes on wheels youngsters drive these days.
Like Larry 111, I often listen to opera, or to folk/MOR, or to country. Gotta watch the country, or I'm crying in my beer, and have to drive one-handed becoz of the cup-holder situation.
Easy listening classical is pretty good, except the wide dynamic range of many of the pieces tends to mean you will miss parts, or possibly have your head blasted off on a roundabout during the rousing bits, where you are too busy driving to reach for the volume control. For the most part, I would prefer singer/songwriters as driving company, the mood, the volume output all remain reasonable and predictable and entertaining.
Without bringing on hypertension or red light fever.
