Thanks, Doug! I'd almost given up on getting any response.

So, there is no such animal as an SVX "by-pass" or "crossover" hose?

One of the other internet parts sources lists a hose that is described as running from a "pipe to the thermostat"...

I couldn't find it on the diagram. It would seem to me that replacing all but one hose in the cooling system with new would leave the last one very susceptible to failure, especially since they are over a decade old...

I just didn't want to tear the hoses off and come up one short.
