Any 5 speed or automatic from a modern "EJ" type 4 cylinder Subaru chassis... that would be any Legacy (any year), any Impreza, any Outback, and any Forester. You will have to match up the correct final drive in the rear diff as well, be prepared to crack it open. A 5 speed swap is obviously a very involved project but would create a huge smile factor.

A 4EAT with a taller final drive would be an interesting upgrade for the SVX... I know someone with a Legacy B4 RSK automatic tranny w/ 4.444 final drive who may attempt to mate it to an EG33 sooner or later... I'll talk to him about it.

The new automatic from the EZ30 6 cylinder motor may or may not work... I don't know if it's ever been tried. The torque converter is a new design so perhaps not.
