Looking for Hood Shocks

Are there any aftermarket solutions known? I was going to try the dealer but figured if they even had any available it would cost a fortune.

I have a 2004 Forester manual in my AWD SVX and of course the related diffs. Could I get a recommendation on what fluid to use for the manual and for the diffs? Doing some searches reveals that...

Re: GC/Koni vs. newer coilovers - do they exist?

This is extremely helpful, thank you for the response. My gut keeps telling me to pass on installing the GC/Koni setup because I wouldn't be driving the car aggressively or tracking it. Maybe I can...

GC/Koni vs. newer coilovers - do they exist?

Hi All, I've been away from modding my SVX for the last 10 years. So I'm totally out of the loop. Now I've got a new paint job on my 96, and getting it back on the road. The big question I have...

Re: Engine won't start first time ever

We were able to get into it today. It was the fuel pump. R&R and it's back. It fired up fine with start fluid through the intake so we went for power to the pump which was there, so it's swapped...

I just went to car-part.com and called a yard that has one and the guy laughed at me saying he's getting calls every day and now the owner doesn't want to ship it. Anyway, I found this oddball...

Re: My SVX starts up, goes briefly then stalls out .. fuel related?

Thanks for the input and suggestions. I started with replacing the fuel filter and the car started right up (sort of as usual) and ran. So I ruled out anything on the pump side. I let it idle a...

My SVX starts up, goes briefly then stalls out .. fuel related?

Looking for advice on this..I'm guessing either I've got a badly blocked fuel filter, or it's time for a new fuel pump. After the car stalls it won't restart again until it sits for a while. Then it...

Re: AC Cig lighter clock and temp gauge all stopped working at same time today

Figured out the short. Turns out the visors were fine. It was the cig plug. The metal housing behind the plug internals came undone and it was shorting against the positive.

Re: AC Cig lighter clock and temp gauge all stopped working at same time today

Just another day in the life of SVX vehicle ownership...thanks for the tips. I'll plan to post back what the solution was but this sounds like a pretty predictable situation.

Re: AC Cig lighter clock and temp gauge all stopped working at same time today

Ok that sounds like a good start, will try that. Thanks for quick response. I NEVER touch the visors for these reasons and I bet my friend decided to make use of them.

Re: Every member please check in here!

I'm here in AZ. Shopping for a source on a new radiator today for my 96. Ebay sellers seem kind of shady on their feedback for various ones advertised.
