That's exactly it!!! if the car sits for 12 or more hours, there's a chance of it happening and if the cars already warm and you start driving it, then problem NEVER happens.

Thanks I'm going to look into the fuel injector and vac lines first.

I haven't done my research about vac lines but can they cause a low idle intermittently?

I don't think it's the coils...

If you're successfull in changing the unit and finalising it all, I was wondering if you could do a How-To for this fix.

It's a fairly common fault that the gauge needle wonders all over the place...

Hey Joe, when the heater core blows the coolant has to go somewhere! I think the manufacturer took into account that in some part of the car's lifetime the heatercore would blow, so there's little...

Check out my pictures!!

Yeah I changed mine too, it was a long process but was actually quite easy. The hardest part was ordering the wrong heater core and having someone cut off the rigid pipes...
