Re: Great Looking SVX

Here's his for sale thread: http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/showthread.php?t=60855

He's offering it for $10000 here, which is a steal.

I was hoping to buy it if I got the better paying job I...

Re: SVXs and their owners

That must get pretty tiring. I would have left the petrol engine in myself.

Re: Help me on wheel choice

Another thing to consider, RX-8 wheels are probably lighter, being made for a sportish car while the Murano wheels are for a heavy SUV and might have a negative effect on your suspension performance.

Re: Rear mount twin turbo

150kW atw at 7 psi according to this thread in the general chat.

I don't think that would be more than a 15-20kW increase over stock and...

Re: end of tranny, end of SVX

I don't think there's a big difference between transmissions, I think maybe a speed sensor might need to be moved? My Aussie delivered SVX had a japanese transmission from the previous owner. Should...

Re: EOI manual gearbox crossmembers made in Australia

Are you able to provide the gearbox, diff , pedal assembles etc in the conversion? Are you able to provide a rough cost? This is pretty awesome news.

Re: The wife has discovered performance

What about a flat6 or turbo 4th gen Legacy/Liberty? Should perform in the ballpark of an SVX and is a way, way better looking car than the latest Subaru Camry.

Re: Comments you hear

My favourite was the kid going "Oh f**k, look at that car." He sounded so confused and even scared as if it was something that should not be.

VTD Auto vs 5 speed swap - effect on handling?

Still tossing up whether to go for a manual swap. The main thing putting me off is the change from the stock 30:70 f/r torque split on the audm svx to the 50:50 split viscous diff of a wrx...

Re: Windscreens

I got mine done at OBriens in Fyshwick last year, they reused the original gasket - it was a real pain in the arse apparently but the end result was fine. Cost me about $6-700 all up. Also, the new...

Any updates here? will you dyno on a stock or ecutune ecu svx? I will definitely buy if we see even small noticeable improvement across the rev range.

Re: devistation of the most unberarable kind D:

Hey, tough luck.
My Pearlie has been relegated to parts car, so I can probably help you out with those damaged panels, no bumper though.

Re: Manual swap in Aus?

I think the plan's going to be to order one of the smallcar basic kits from the US and source the rest of the parts here.

Manual swap in Aus?

Does anyone have any experience getting a manual swap performed here? Can someone recommend a mechanic/performance shop who will do this sort of work?
Cheers,

IRIS check valve

Hi,
After a working check valve for the virus valve, the little black plastic one that connects to the vacuum tank under the manifold Subaru part is. 16195AA030.
Cheers,
Jeremy.
