Re: Doug DeMuro - The Subaru SVX Is the Weirdest Subaru Ever

His speech pattern and voice resembles Jay Leno minus the wit and knowledge.

Re: Doug DeMuro - The Subaru SVX Is the Weirdest Subaru Ever

I have one. My cats sleep on it in the garage. They say it's cozy.

Re: Humorous advertisement

If it wasn't so funny it would be annoying. You would think a human would at least do a quick check of these things.

Re: Radiator Needed

Silla company has gone out of business. They were a source for inexpensive, good quality radiators and A/C condensers but alas they are no more.

Re: I am ready to blow this car up. Won't start now.

A slippery snow covered flat bed would work. The wheels would slid and no stress would be transmitted to the driveline. You could use dolleys also. Or being a skier I could suggest making some crud...

Re: advise on hard power steering when turning

My '92 had similar symptoms. Very stiff at parking and slow speeds and nearly normal on the highway. The problem was a broken wire on the speed sensitive steering. I looked under the dash on the...

Re: Doug DeMuro - The Subaru SVX Is the Weirdest Subaru Ever

They are H3 bulbs. A pair of yellow ones are readily available for under $10 per pair.

Re: Doug DeMuro - The Subaru SVX Is the Weirdest Subaru Ever

One glaring error was his statement that the SVX was the first 6 cylinder Subaru. I also thought his scoring was ridiculous and had little relevance.

Re: 1994 Subaru SVX project

Not to be mean but if you want AWD, buy one that is already AWD. You'll save yourself a whole lot of $$$ and headaches.

Re: from Japan

They're both in beautiful condition. BBS wheels too.
The high temperature silver paint on the exhaust system of the blue one is kinda dumb. That'll burn off and doesn't really fool anyone.

Re: Transmissions that will work in the SVX

First generation Outback was '95 to '99. I had 2 of the '97s. I have the transmission (4.44) and diff gears in my '92 parts car from my '97 Outback LTD.
The second generation Outback started in late...

Re: 1992 SVX Crank Position Sensor

For the cost, I would go ahead and change both. I went through this late last fall. Somehow both sensors failed. I tried changing one and then tried the other. It wouldn't start until I had replaced...

Re: '94 FWD Model

High mileage so not worth fixing and not worth the risk.
I'm not trying to make your car look bad. I'm just stating why I think there is no interest on the forum.

Re: '94 FWD Model

There are several issues here. The car can't be driven and is partially disassembled. It has a blown head gasket. It's FWD. It's in Oklahoma. People want the engine (no good) and AWD transmission...

Re: Craigslist and other finds

Nice wheels, nice exhaust, the fender flares are interesting. Overdose on the Armor all!!! Even the steering wheel.
Also it's kind of cool to see a '94.

Re: I am ready to blow this car up. Won't start now.

Have you tried starting it in neutral?

I know the feeling of "I am ready to blow this car up." I was ready to burn mine a few weeks ago when I was battling the crank sensor issue on mine. I said...
