Re: Sourcing an oil leak, can someone point me in the right direction?

My car has oil pooling in the same spot also. I temporally rerouted the valve cover breather lines into the frame rail and pluged where they connected to the intake duct work. STILL oil is pooling,...

Re: Oil Leak on the top of motor??

I just rerouted the valve cover breathers into the frame rails and put some plugs on the intake duct. If it goes away I'll know that the breathers are filling up the intake with oil.

Re: What used starters fit???

I just put it on and it works great. It might not last as long, being smaller but I had it on the shelf so it didn't cost anything.

And yes the wiring terminal was different. I turned it upside...

Re: What used starters fit???

The big difference I see is that the SVX starter has a nose cone and the Legacy starter doesn't.

Has anyone put a Legacy starter on a SVX?

Re: What used starters fit???

When I do a junkyard search it only shows imprza's and forester's, I would think my Legacy starter would work since that is what my front diff is out of. I wounder if the legacy starter is weaker...

Re: No Start, No click, big hammer = start

That's what I thought. Just hate to hang parts and have it do the same thing. Been there and done that.
Thanks Jeff

What used starters fit???

I think my starter is bad so I goona hit the junkyard.

I read that SVX, Impreza's and Foresters are all the same from 92-03.

Do any of them have more torque or last longer?

I would think if...

No IRIS valve

My IRIS valve broke. I ordered a new one. How will the car run without it? The car has some idling issues but I'm not sure if that is related.

Thanks Jeff

Re: Speed sensor passes the test but is bad??

The rear one is hard wired and internal on a FWD car.

Is the sensor suppose to click when you turn it? Are you suppose to beable to pull the part that turns out of the sensor?
