dito- downside is running the pipes on the awd version. plenty o room to put in the turbos, oil and water lines, not so much on air to intake line.

if he has too much oil, it will smoke until the oil is gone. not just on start up.
next time you start the car, have someone else do it and look at the color, how long it smokes, and how intense...

if it goes away after a few minutes, it is likely condensation in the pipes.
white= is generally coolant, has kind of a sweat smell to it.
blue(ish)= oil, smells like burning oil. if it goes...

To close out this question/ thread:
A dying coil/ bad spark will make ones car shake violently when the overdrive kicks in. Never would have figured that.

I don't agree.
As long as the fuse one puts in is the same value, and in the same location it is just as safe- the fuse will likely blow faster than the link, but it sure isn't dangerous.

OK, in another pic the book shows # as passenger side, against the firewall.

I almost did the same thing on my 94, lucky for me the metal connections came out of the plastic connector/ housing, and they snapped right back in.
