Re: torque converter lockup - locks, unlocks, locks...

I would bet it is a bad signal from your throttle positions sensor. Mine did the same thing for a while and that was the problem. I think some people have had success cleaning and or adjusting...

Re: The people have spoken!

I guess my reasoning was this: If Capitalism is based on the assumption that all participants are honest then it couldn't work because not all participants are honest. But yet it seems to work quite...

Re: Cindy McCain Drifting

I got that. And I agree.

I love it when you "make an example of someone" That makes you sound so scholarly. :)

Re: The people have spoken!

I believe in regulated markets too. But why do we assume that the regulator needs to be the government? Government regulation has obviously not worked right? Why can't we allow the markets to...

Re: car has really bad acceleration

I would say it is a bad coil... or something else ignition wise. I had a similar issue and it was a bad coil ( or maybe more than one since I replaced all six and the issue went away)

Re: Getting ready to replace flexplate

There are two studs that come out of the engine to help start the alignment, and then there are two dowels located a little ways above the studs. THey could either end up in the transmission or the...

Re: WTB: CV axle, front awd driver side

Interesting. I just looked it up at advance auto on line and they have the same part number for a 1992 SVX and a 1996 Legacy (just what I picked).

Their number was NCV66037 (new) or CV66037...

Re: WTB: CV axle, front awd driver side

Both sides are the same. I just bought two at advance auto for about $70 each. They had them listed as front wheel drive SVX, but they are the same as AWD. In fact I think they were the same part...

Re: Considering a 1997 Legacy 2.5GT

Don't be so quick to dismiss the head gasket treatment stuff. My 2000 2.5RS had a bad head gasket, and that stuff fixed it. I later removed the engine when I did my 02 wrx swap, but then my brother...

Re: another tranny question

If it does it often when it is fully warm and you are just cruising at one speed, I would say it is likely that your Throttle Posistion Sensor is dirty or bad.

Re: Heartland, or Not-Very-Smart Land?

This poll is ridiculous. Do you REALLY THINK that most people in the midwest think and talk that way? Or are you just trying to incite a mean spirited thread?

You and Michelle Obama.

+1...
