all back together - used threadlock on the bolt and torqued to factory spec

yea every description i see says for Impreza '93-02' Legacy '90-02' Forester 'All' SVX '92-97'.

yea im going to tap the holes in the face of the sprocket and use a steering wheel pulling to get it out

what sucks is - the pulley i ordered is out of stock so i have to find another source for...

woodruff and pulley ordered / / im going to use the tap and steering wheel puller method to get the timing sprocket out

so needle nose vise grips and try to yank whats left of the old key out...

ugh, the keyway isnt too bad but the woodruff is wrecked... the belt pulley is toast and needs to be replaced

please tell me the actual timing pulley doesnt have to come off for this! i went in...

my svx is a 94 and isnt awd - that being said, it got stuck way too many times on me last winter

now i want to get either snow biased a/s tires or straight up and down snow tires

anyone have any experience with the front axle assemblies from gsp?

mine is shot and needs to be replaced - 94 L 2wd

the front axle is complete for $50 [nut included] - the laps even has it in...

ac questions

general ac question - blow ambient temp so the system is broken ... low coolant, leak, whatever...

car on, ac on max - compressor flips on and off... about 3 second intervals

on off on off on...

my ac works fine though

on actual hot days [85+] i pop it on and out comes the cold stuff

im talking about the normal non ac days - its always hotter in the car than it should be because of all...

honestly... its 75 outside and stifling in my svx - even with the windows down...

the vent and econ options just blow hot air around the car...

you mean the geared and smooth idlers that the timing belt rides on?

the batt is all disconnected - all the idlers [smooth, geared, water pump, and tensioner] all turn smoothly

but i have a timing kit which came with all new parts, i have a rebuilt water pump too
...

having the radiator out gives me more room to roam, i like tight spaces, but if we go down that route we certainly aren't talking about my car anymore

so, the radiator is out, the screwdriver...

well i put the radiator back in and connected the fans... no luck

motor still wont turn over - just a cool click and nothing else

im trying the screwdriver trick but that isnt going so well......

do the fans have to be connected for the motor to bump over?

im pulling everything to replace the timing belt and ive gotten to the crank pulley

well i'd already read about the methods to break...
