Re: After 2 Years of Obama--Here is your Change!

What's so "hip" about him?

I think he's a pampered, affirmative action poster boy and a disaster to this country.

Re: Play on steering wheel

Thanks, I really appreciate that offer. I'm going to try and hold the shop responsible since they install the rack and likely caused the problem. If they tell me they want to charge me for it I'm...

Re: Play on steering wheel

I don't think it's the bushings. The steering completely broke today. The steering wheel turns independently of the front wheels, as if something got stripped. I hope the shop doesn't try to jerk...

Play on steering wheel

I've been having an issue with play on my steering wheel. Whenever the wheel is centered, I can move it ever so slightly in either direction before it starts to turn the wheels and I can feel it...

Re: The auto repair business is a ripoff

You're probably right about that. I was going to replace the whole assembly myself before I realized it'd be easier to just replace the pully.

The auto repair business is a ripoff

One of my ex-girlfriends called me a couple of weeks ago because the tensioner had seized on her 02 Grand Prix. Even though the belt drives everything, she said she was able to drive the car short...

Re: Don't Order From Steeringrack.com

I swear it was up earlier today. Fortunately I paid with a credit card and have opened a dispute with the bank. I'm sure getting my money back won't be an issue.

Don't Order From Steeringrack.com

I ordered a rack and pinion for my SVX online from www.steeringrack.com, but their site said NOTHING about shipping times. I called them the next day. After about 15 phone calls, dealing with...

Re: Colorado Sighting Thread

Re: 97 outback rear struts in CO

I did this today but didn't want to have to bleed the brakes, so I just cut the existing clamps (to the shocks) with a sawzall. I really don't see the point in having the brake lines clamped to the...

Re: 97 outback rear struts in CO

Sweet, thanks for the replies. Sounds like it's not hard at all. I wasn't aware it was that simple. I've done plenty of other stuff myself including brakes, water pump and timing belt but haven't...
