Rotor Replacement

What steps are required to remove the front and rear rotors. I replaced the pads today but still don't like how the car stops. I couldn't tell for sure how the rotors are held in place.

I have seen this on Audi hydraulic pumps. Some refer to it as the volcano effect. Air is being sucked past a seal on the pump and froths out the reservoir. I'm not that familiar yet with the SVX pump...

I just finished changing the spark plugs and noticed a hose from what appears to be the bottom of the charcoal cannister hanging loose. Where does this go?

Tom is right. Unfortunately what you might find is what I found. The bolts thread on to studs in what I think is the side impact beam. The beam rusted away.

FYI The CEL turned itself off this morning...

FYI

The CEL turned itself off this morning when I started the car. There was probably five ignition on/offs and a hundred miles of problem free driving.

I didn't scan the codes this time....

I'd be a little surprised if the SVX only used a bi-metallic spring. I've only had my '97 for a year (knock on wood) w/o any problems.

My AAV experience is with BMW and Audi (lots of problems)....
