I always thought the rear diff would be a bad...

I always thought the rear diff would be a bad spot until I bought the Service Manual. It specifies the rear diff, so that is what I use.

Yeah, there is no way to disassemble the lifters. I just made sure each felt "springy" and the oil ports were clear.

Funny thing is, on the one new lifter I put in, it had no movement at all...

Problem Solved

In case anyone else ever runs into this, I was able to get the outer race out by using part #314302 from the hub tamer kit on the back side of the race and use the hub tamer to press the race out.
