Sighted for sale in Durham NC

If anyone in NC is looking for a white SVX, I saw one Friday at a lot across from the Cracker Barrel at exit 173 on I-85 in Durham NC. It had its original wheels.

Re: Building it up only to let it go - those who've jumped ship. *LONG*

My SVX is tired. It stumbles at idle, it's paint is fading, it has some rust showing. When I take it out for a run it still fits like a glove and the stumble fades to a roar when I punch it. I think...

Re: Interesting SVX Styling Idea

Hey Larry, I was particularly fond of the '58 Turnpike Cruiser, especially the antenna coming horizontally out of the roof!!

Miss when engine is at idle

I have a noticible miss that seems to be coming from the front two cylinders on the drivers side of the engine. It does not miss on acceleration. It starts when the engine has warmed and is at idle....

Re: paper-tagged the SVX yesterday

Another benefit of historic tags in maryland is that you don't have to do the tailpipe inspection. My '88 Bronco has historic tags and only takes trips to the dump and to haul fence posts and rails!!

Re: has anyone ever?

I have PIAA plasma yellow bulbs in mine. I use them just so folks don't think I have my "bright" lights on.

Re: The SVX and you

I bought my SVX in 1995 for $12K with a little over 50,000 miles on it. I have put almost that much in it since that time. I think Subaru is still using NISSAN trannys. I guess the 5/6 speed swap is...
