Re: ARP Head Stud Group Buy

Re-confirming that I'm in, and thought I'd mention that when I bought a set of these from atomicspeedware (now defunct) a few years ago, they were more than $300.

Re: MAF sensor swap question

You need the whole set - ecutune stage 2 chip, z32 MAF, and 370cc injectors.

Ok here's another option. Just an aux cord, with the button inline, close at hand so you can press it when you...

Re: AUX input + CD player delete + pocket + optional USB charge ports kits group buy

Ok so I finished a mockup of the kit to show where I'm at now. I actually found more info on the CD player's wiring, so I believe I should be able to make it totally plug-and play, including the USB...

Re: AUX input + CD player delete + pocket + optional USB charge ports kits group buy

Ok so the rest of the parts to make the prototype got here today (the pockets). Going to start on it this evening, hope to get some pictures of it and it installed up so someone can show them off at...

Re: 5mt swap questions

Good to know. Can all driveshaft shops do it for an upcharge or just some? Doesn't PA have a lot more/better machine shops than most places?

Since you're here, what year outback or whatever...

Re: 5mt swap questions

Wire brush and paint the driveshaft while it's out, btw. And anything else rusty like that. With some good anti rust paint. Especially since you're up north.

Re: 5mt swap questions

That looks to be a 2-piece driveshaft. I believe there is a certain body style of auto(?) outbacks that you can get the front section from and bolt to the rear section of the svx driveshaft to get...

Re: Helix Throttle Body Spacer

Outlaw engineering seems to be defunct. Can this company make intake manifold spacers as well? Several people on the Facebook groups have been asking about them. They seem to be popular for eg33...

Re: AUX input + CD player delete + pocket

Thanks, man. I needed to spend some time away from the internet to work on my masters thesis. And the wife had a baby in November, so I've been super busy getting to know my new little dude....

Re: AUX input + CD player delete + pocket + optional USB charge ports kits group buy

I can probably make you a one-off one, but I need to think about how to do it first. That round thing is not only the mic, but also a button to pair it and whatnot. Makes it tricky.

BTW, If you...

Re: AUX input + CD player delete + pocket

I really like the stock head unit. None of the new style of head units look right in the car. They don't have that 90s look. That green glow that matches the other lights in the car. But it needs an...

AUX input + CD player delete + pocket

Ok, so this weekend I replaced the audio stuff in my 97. I kept the stock head unit though and made an AUX cord out of the plug that plugs the stock CD player into the head unit, and put in a pocket....

Re: Replacing steering wheel, cruise question

On the 90s MOMO LGT wheel I put in mine, there was a spot to mount the cruise control stalk from the SVX wheel, so I used that. If the plug is the same, just plug it in an it will most likely work...

Re: The beginnings of a Megasquirt how-to guide

I'm glad to hear that. I'm sure that's what he would have wanted.

I wouldn't use those coils, if you're going to deviate from stock, I'd go with something beefier, like the LS coils. I forget,...

Re: Engine will be pulled

Highly, highly recommended. I have seen enough failures of the stockers on the forums as they get older, and it's a cheap enough "while we're in there" part to more than justify it.

Re: Question About the 15 Minute Rear Suspension Mod

Do them one at a time, the other side will hold the side that you're working on up. If that's what you're doing, then there is probably some flex that's letting the subframe drop down some. You could...

Re: SVX Engine cooling "Again & Again"

(Chemist here) If the boiling point of the waterless coolant is much higher than the bp of water, then it should help at least some with cavitation. Their website says the BP is 180*C, water's BP is...
