Bump...also reporting that she got 25.7 mpg on the last tank. Not spectacular, but not bad for winter in Maine.

Forgive the ignorance here....but just what exactly does the EGR valve/temp sensor/system do anyway?

What does it mean that those pipes/sensor are all gooped up, where did that stuff come...

Ha ha...I figured I'd get some good responses! I know the 94/95 FWD cars get much better mpg. Much of that must be due to the decreased drag from the rear diff, etc.
