Re: Bent rear "toe-in" rod
It's about two inches in diameter. It covered the nut at the front of the inner mount for the front lateral arm. Had a special washer with for tabs to hold it on.

Re: Bent rear "toe-in" rod
Okay, it's finished, the car's back together, I have a feeling I'm running a LOT of negative camber on my left rear wheel, but otherwise it seems to be sound. One question. What's this thing for?

Re: Bent rear "toe-in" rod
Okay, I got it out, thank you! Got the stupid bolt out, got the new lateral arm in and the bolt back in. Is there anything special I need to do to pop the axle back in or do I just apply force to the...

Re: Bent rear "toe-in" rod
The bolt for the REAR lateral arm has the nut on the front (towards the CV axle) and the bolt comes out the back. It's the bolt for the FRONT lateral arm that won't come out because of the CV boot.

Re: Bent rear "toe-in" rod
If you have to cut the old bolt to get it out, you'll have to cut the new bolt to get it in. Which won't work.
The rear bolt attaches differently than the front does, and you can get the bolt out...

Re: Bent rear "toe-in" rod
The bolt at the inner end of the front lateral link won't come out in order for me to remove the inner end of the lateral link from the car. The bolt is a good 3 or 4 inches long, and I can only get...

Re: Bent rear "toe-in" rod
Argh, I'm going to have to remove the CV axle. The bolt holding the lateral link in is 2 inches or so too long to clear the axle. I'm hoping I can just disconnect it from the differential, rather...

Re: Bent rear "toe-in" rod
Am I going to be able to get the bolt out from the inside end of the link without removing the axle?

Re: Bent rear "toe-in" rod
Hi, guys, so how difficult is it to replace? My left rear suspension has a bent front lateral link from a collision I was in and I got the new part in the mail yesterday. Do I have to disassemble the...

Re: EGR What is it? How hard to replace.
I've got a '94 that's giving the EGR System code. How likely am I to pass smog with that? I'm also getting a knock sensor and an O2 sensor code, but I have replacement parts for those.

Thanks, their price was quite a bit higher than Summit Racing -- $89.95 vs. $61.95 -- but they have some other stuff I might be needing to buy from them.

Do you have the model or part # for your cooler? Do I understand correctly that the one you have is the one used in the how-to? I couldn't find any mention of which one is used in the doc.

Recommended Upgrades?
I just bought a 94 LS-L that's mechanically stock. I'm very happy with it, but I'd be even more happy if it had more power and a slightly louder, nicer sounding exhaust. While trying to keep the...
