It's been quite a while.

The brake disc dust shields are totally rotten.... do these fit from any other Subaru?

Re: aftermarket seats

I think the tight spot is not across shoulders, but between the transmission tunnel and the door. Check out my Recaro install here:

Re: front differential setup how to and re-rebuild of genuine Subaru Remanufactured 4

I've had mine for quite a while - three years (?), and I can assure you it's awesome in the snow :-).

I bet the effect is even greater with the MPT tranny.

Re: Old car smell

Ozone treatment.

I trust this is something in the category "do not try this at home".....

Find an old street lamp (quick silver vapor type) - the whole thing, not just the big bulb.

Fix duct...

I think mine are not silicone based, but high temp tolerant reinforced rubber.

See photo.

Re: Anyone have any ideas???

If you do not find any water massive fuel dilution is another possibility.

A faulty injector or a cracked o-ring? Blown pressure regulator?

Does the oil smell like fuel?

Re: Bent Hub and/or Knuckle Assembly

Ok,

Did you remove the spring to check the shaft and travel?

Check the LH/RH part # issue?

Check the tire to strut clearance LH/RH?

Maybe the welded-on part which attaches the knuckle to...

This is all guess work.... but the clearance between tire and fender seems to be quite large on the drivers side.... much larger than mine - and your passenger side too.... if the clearances...

Does the wheel (tire) touch the strut? If not, then the knuckle is probably ok.

Have you checked the drive shaft nut - it has not come loose?

If you did not make the comment about the shim I'd...

Re: A/C Compressor Drag

Yeah,

600cc of oil in addition to what ever was there to start with is probably a big problem.... and may well be the cause for the increased resistance to run the compressor. This is not good and...

Re: A/C Compressor Drag

Does anyone know if...
