thanks, I couldnt find anything that said what I needed to do to get the codes. Only what the number of each code stood for.

Same here. I get the check engine light only and I am OBD1. Do I need a tool or are their just flashing LEDs somewhere?

I keep reading threads where members say they are pulling codes. What type of tools are you guys using to pinpoint these engine code numbers? Specific brands would be appreciated.
