I'd investigate the resonator first. Mine rattled like crazy, and it was easily replaceable. See about replacing that first and the front heat shields may not even be an issue.

Just had the transmission fluid drained and refilled.
Leaking cam seal replaced.
ISIS valve gasket replaced.
PVC valve replaced.
& '92 ECU crush mod performed (yay for no more hesitation!)
