I found the problem and now need parts to fix it.
My SVX would not shift out of part this week. I took a look at it today. I noted that when the car will not shift out of park the ABS light is on...

Brian, There is no electric motor noise coming...

Brian,
There is no electric motor noise coming from under the hood. No chattering ABS relay. The problem is related to an intermittent electrical connection at the ECU under the dash.
