Re: my new toys

when pulling parts grab the brake booster, keeps you from having to cut the actuator pin on the svx booster.

Re: Full Time Dash Vents

Great info!!! I was gonna be looking into this soon as I despise having my car tell me I only want cool air on my hands and face, lol.

(I did this with my Audi 5k last winter but it required a...

Re: SMALL single turbo project, thoughts welcome!

I went through two of those in one summer on a project I did a few years back on an accord (don't give me any crap about being a tuner, ex's car)
After going sideways in town this past Sat. I...

Re: Option for pedal set for wireclutch.

hmmm, the only way to correctly change the pedal pressure is to put a stiffer pressure plate on the clutch. I guess you could change the position of the cable on the pedal however that will shorten...

Re: Option for pedal set for wireclutch.

Are you having problems with the pedal returning? How long ago did you do your swap. I know when I did my swap the pedal stuck but that's cause it was cutting into the wiring brick above the pedal...

Re: 92 headlight wiring diagram?

if your parking lights are working I'd go after the main switch on the steering column. Can you get the fog/driving lights to come on?

Re: Idling issue w/cel

I haven't tried pulling codes yet...I know it has to do with the swap. Whats the procedure for getting engine codes?
As far as the TB I am unsure. This car was kinda screwed up when I got it, ie:...

Idling issue w/cel

I have a '92 SVX with a legacy 5spd. Since the swap I have noticed an unusually high idle (1800). I set the TPS at .49 the other night which brought it down to 1400 which is less obnoxious however...

Re: Another AWD tranny question

This test may not be 100% conclusive as even a slight stumble or low idle may cause it not to hold as you are really testing the torque convertor at low rpm which responds directly to the engine....

Re: Getting to root of tranny problem

This is definitely an early sign of tranny failure. As far as how long it will last is up to the trans itself. It may last forever that way, but probably not.
My trans did this in the 3rd-4th...

Re: SVX Manual Conversion help in Texas?

There is liability with custom work like this so dealerships won't touch it. Find a speed shop or one that specializes in custom fab. like an off road truck place.
Did you do the 4.44 conversion?...

Re: VSS question (5mt swap)

This was already suggested however they are completely different. The SVX is a push in style with a bolt on the edge and the Legacy is threaded into the transmission housing

VSS question (5mt swap)

I recently swapped a 5sp into my '92 SVX. The tranny came from a '96 Legacy with a 2 wire vss. Is this sensor at all compatible with my 3 wire system? Or is there a 3 wire available that will screw...
