? do you mean cam seals? covers are usually refered to as the timing belt covers. they dont leak oil. cam seals will though. do you have a pic of them to post so we can help out better?

not going through the radiator though.

oil is risky. i see no need to "cool" the oil unless you are running F/I. just too much risk involved without much reward.

looks like it could be the STi one. I had one like it on my project but the STi one is drive by wire. you could prob just switch out the cover though.

where is he getting that? do yourself a favor and come down to my shop this week and ill check the rear diff fluid out for you free of charge. also, there is no electronics...

yeah, i agree with jcimos. you should pull the plugs and look at the fluid. how much is this shop charging for this job? is it a subaru oriented shop? i have never heard of a svx rear going bad exept...
