I had access to an enclosed blaster. I don't know what a shop will charge; better off getting your own (tank and nozzle plus small compressor and sand); then you can take your time.

No shift kit on this one. Original resistor plugged in (I also tried with a 25W, 15-ohm one). I will try to post a video on the behavior of it.

You may want to reconsider; the new WRXes are spinning rod bearings, needing a new long block and time at the shop (Subaru is paying, but is it worth the trouble?). Info at this nasioc's thread....
